Hajo is a Certified Passive House Designer and Architect with 25 years of experience in the building industry. After finishing his Masters in Architectural Science at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, Hajo moved to BC. There he started his design career in the timber frame industry in the Kootenays. He then established Ecocentric Design to focus on his passion for sustainable building. Since participating in one of the first Passive House Design and Construction course of Canada, he has been passionately integrating Passive House principles into his work. Hajo has designed and consulted on several Passive House projects, with his first certified Passive House completed in 2018 in Maple Bay, BC.
Currently, Hajo works at an Architecture office in Nanaimo, BC. He enjoys to spend his free time in the great outdoors.
