Project Description
128 Jameson High Performance is designed to be a zero energy home based off Passive House principles. PHPP was modelled to include the garage. The walls are 2×6 split wall assembly with 5/8″ plywood air barrier and 8″ of EPS foam strapped for siding (R-49). The floor is a 6″ structural slab with 6″ of EPS foam (R-24).
The roof is insulated with 26″ of cellulose (R-95). The house and garage are heated with electric radiant heat panels and electric in-floor heat in bathrooms. A Zehnder ERV is used for ventilation and to assist in passive cooling in summer. Aluplast windows & doors were used, as well as, Krispol overhead doors. The 16.43 kWh solar system provides electricity to heat the house, garage and all the energy usage in the home.
