Passive House Pulse Nova Scotia – February 23, 5:00-6:30 PM AST

This session will be led by Lorrie Rand, a Certified Passive House Designer, and instructor for Passive House Canada. We will be welcoming our guest speaker Kelly Fisher, who comes from a background in construction and architectural design, holds her CPHC designation since 2018 and PHPP Expert Seal since 2019. With 15 years of experience in the construction industry in various roles, this experience has allowed her to gain knowledge in many aspects of construction to understand the realities and processes of the construction industry. As a Certified Passive House Consultant, Kelly works alongside Architects, Engineers, and Builders on Passive House projects of all sizes.

At Peel Passive House, Kelly manages small to large certification projects and consultancy projects. She applies her experience over several roles including business development, project management, and consulting. Her projects range in scale from single family homes to multi-story affordable housing projects.”

For this session, Kelly will be discussing how to optimize efficiency in multi-family residential buildings. We will look at domestic hot water, ventilation and lighting control strategies which can be designed to optimize performance. Some project examples will be provided to illustrate best practices and impact against the PH energy balance.
