Emma Cubitt

Emma  is an award-winning Hamilton-based architect and associate at Invizij Architects, currently working on 4 large (35-50 unit) Passive House housing projects, as well as a restaurant and large urban Baptist Church. Originally from Chicago, her passions in livable small-scale spaces, affordable housing, laneway housing, and sustainability have helped create over 500 units of affordable housing either built or under construction in the past decade–with many more in development.

In her free time, Emma helped launch the Hill Street Community Garden and The Mustard Seed Co-operative Grocery. She is lucky enough to often work and give talks about Passive House design and her work alongside her husband, Graham Cubitt of Indwell.
