*MBTI Covid Protocol (Updated March 1, 2022):

VACCINE REQUIREMENT

To align with the Province of Manitoba’s decision to remove the vaccine requirement, MBTI will end the vaccine requirement as of March 1.

Staff, faculty, students, and visitors will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or register when entering in the building for classes.

MBTI maintains that vaccines are a proven way to reduce personal risk of contracting COVID 19 and minimize severity of symptoms. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated and receive available boosters. To find a vaccine, visit https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/index.html

MASK REQUIREMENT

MBTI will maintain the requirement for wearing masks up to the end of the public academic Winter Term: April 29, 2022.

Hands-on training requires students and instructors to work and learn in close proximity. For this reason, and the safety and comfort of our staff and students, we are continuing the use of masks and physical distancing in these spaces.

 PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Physical Distancing requirements will remain in classrooms and workspaces until April 29, 2022.  At this time, occupancy restrictions will be lifted from learning and common areas in accordance with industry specific public health measures.

 SAFETY MEASURES REMAIN:

  •        Staff and Students will continue to be expected to stay home when sick
  •        Hand sanitizer will be available at entrances and spaces throughout all campuses
  •        Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of all spaces will remain
