Passive House Canada/Maison Passive Canada, congratulates Board Chair, Deborah Byrne and one of Passive House Canada Instructors, Kelly Fisher, for being awarded Construction Canada’s Emerging Leader Award.
Toronto, Ontario – December 5, 2019. Construction Canada announced the winners of the inaugural Emerging Leader Awards, presented at The Buildings Show on December 4, 2019, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. These awards recognize young professionals for excellence in design, leadership, initiative, and/or service to the community.
“The Emerging Leader Awards recognizes members of the AEC community who demonstrate excellence, impress and inspire their co-workers, and are well on their way to becoming the next leaders in the profession. These awards recognize young professionals for excellence in design, leadership, initiative, and/or service to the community. Nominated by a member or members of their team, winners are selected by a jury of peers. The winners were selected based on the strength of their work, demonstrated integrity, leadership, and community outreach as demonstrated in the submissions.” – Construction Canada.
Deborah Byrne, C.Eng., MIEI, CPHD, COO of Kearns Mancini Architects Inc. and current Board Chair of Passive House Canada, was selected as the winner in the Industry Contribution category
Kelly Fisher, Director of BIM and Building Performance, Kearns Mancini Architects and Instructor with Passive House Canada, was selected as the winner in the Technology Advancement category.
