DESCRIPTION:This in-person training course provides airtightness field testers and designers with the knowledge and practical skills required to plan\, execute\, and report on large building airtightness tests in compliance with high-performance building standards and codes. \nParticipants will gain expertise in test standards\, site preparation\, equipment operation and maintenance\, data analysis\, and reporting practices. The program is designed to address critical knowledge and capacity gaps in the Canadian building sector\, enabling professionals to improve verification processes and ensure buildings meet stringent energy and performance targets. \nSupported by the Codes Acceleration Fund from Natural Resources Canada\, and developed in collaboration with RRC Polytech\, this course combines hands-on learning with technical guidance to empower field testers and designers to perform airtightness testing with confidence and accuracy. \nLocation: Exact location TBD

DESCRIPTION:Bienvenue à la formation des responsables du bâtiment du Québec\nCe programme de formation virtuel\, élaboré avec le soutien du Fonds d’accélération des codes de Ressources Naturelles Canada\, vise à fournir aux responsables du bâtiment les connaissances et compétences nécessaires pour examiner et approuver des projets à haute performance. \nAu cours de quatre séances interactives\, les participants exploreront les exigences relatives à l’enveloppe du bâtiment\, aux systèmes mécaniques\, à la modélisation énergétique et aux procédures de vérification des plans afin de simplifier les processus d’approbation et de favoriser la construction durable. En comblant les lacunes en matière de connaissances et en réduisant la dépendance à l’égard des examinateurs externes\, cette formation aide les municipalités à accélérer les approbations\, à réduire les coûts et à renforcer la conformité aux normes de performance énergétique des bâtiments en constante évolution au Canada.
